Richard Cole is an award-winning comedy hypnotist, speaker, and coach based in Belleville, Ontario, known professionally as “That Hypnotist Guy.” With nearly 30 years of full-time performance experience, Richard combines his background in comedy, magic, and musical theatre to create high-energy, interactive shows and presentations that captivate audiences across North America.
In 2025, Richard was honored as Hypnotist of the Year at the Canadian Hypnosis Conference, recognizing both his onstage excellence and his contributions to the hypnosis community. He has also delivered presentations at major industry events including the HypnoThoughts Live in Las Vegas and the Keynote presentation at the Performing Hypnosis Summit.
Richard serves as the Canadian Ambassador for the International Stage Hypnotists Association (ISHA). In addition to performing for corporate events, theatres, festivals, and colleges, he is a sought-after coach who mentors stage hypnotists around the world in presentation, audience engagement, and show development.
His current focus is helping performers elevate their stage presence using techniques drawn from theatre, comedy, and real-world performance experience—turning good shows into unforgettable experiences.
