Reframing Tinnitus For Better Client Outcomes

“There is nothing we can do. You’ll have to live with it.” These outdated beliefs about tinnitus that are still shared by many doctors and peers may be harmful and keep clients from becoming better. True, “the cure” has not been found yet. And it likely never will. Tinnitus can be both a condition in itself, but also a symptom of underlying issues with over 200 causes and triggers. That is why drugs and devices are limited.

Over decades of research, hypnosis has shown to significantly improve of quality of life by reducing the distress around the noise and refocusing attention. But there is much more we can do.

A deep dive into the newest research on tinnitus, hearing, neuroscience, hypnosis, psychology and various mind-body fields – shows the real impact hypnosis can have on tinnitus. You will learn how you can utilize scientific discoveries to help clients influence the psychological and physical factors they are dealing with, and know when to refer on, wait or collaborate. That way, we can help them achieve much better, lasting outcomes than before.
